Press or Print?

I was pondering about finalizing my wedding invites today.

If I just had more budget, I could have them made through letterpress rather than laser prints. Letterpress invites looks so regal. Especially the kind of paper they use. Super elegant!

Although my laser prints are not so bad either. You can really have a wide variety of options for design and colors. I had mine with a pop-up image of us! Nice too right?!

Now what I did, well at least try to do was to ask for the printers to use the font of the typeface I saw online. So it is a laser print with the typeface of a letterpress.

I just soooo hope they have this font.

What I will definitely NOT have on my wedding day

Based on my recent viewing of photos of the past ones, I have justified my reasons of hating the two things below:

1. Fresh flowers on bride's hair. Especially the cheap ones.. eeew! I may want to have a fascinator or crafted hair pieces instead.

2. Browns! No no no.

3. Tulips. Overrated.

4. Calla Lily. I just don't like.

PS: This is only my take. Things of the past...

Wedding Gown

I was browsing through Paul Vincent's blog the other night when I saw this bride's wedding dress and I knew right then and there that we had the same inspiration.

Sadly, I didn't feel like the gown is "the gown"!

But remembering the feeling I had when I saw the inspiration from a magazine, I had the this-is-it moment.

Was it because her gown was white?

Was it because she has an oddly-shaped body?

Now I am getting all nervous... Would my gown look good on me?!?!

Panic moment!!!!

Wedding Web Site

This morning my mom called me asking me to do a wedding website because my cousin did one for her wedding.

I instantly said, no. I am so not keen on posting the details of my wedding, not that I am not proud of, but just because I think its too tedious.

But come to think of it, almost all the weddings I attended have one. Although, I am not pretty sure how helpful it is.

Anyway, just blogging stuff one moment at a time is sort of similar to having a "wedsite".

For now, I am good with this.

Theme for the Bridal March

The closer it gets to the big day, the more confuse I become with the details.

Now I am torn on the choice of the bridal march.

1. Love Story - Taylor Swift
2. All I Ask of You - Phantom of the Opera Theme

When I heard the classical version of Love Story, I was super amazed when I first heard it. I told myself that it would be the song playing when I walk down that isle. I want one arranged in the tempo of a bridal march, which I do not know how I will get. I am not hiring a string quartet not even a violinist. There is no way I would want this played if not in the classical mix.

Then earlier today, I played All I Ask of You in I's machine. I never had goosebumps in all these preparations. I was reading through the lyrics while I was watching the video. All I could think of is J the whole time it was playing. That I can always get a classical version.

What do I choose? If choose Love Story, the mood would be really light and I may not have to cry my tears out. Not so ma-drama. But if I choose the other, grabe, goosebumps to everyone siguro and I may cry too much...

What song will best suit me. I am both worlds!!!

P.S.

I texted J, maybe I can ask him to gift the bridal march for me. Choose the song and I will only know what he picked when I start walking the isle.... Sweet!

Word my invites

I am having a tough time finding the words for our wedding invites.

I want it very simple, not cheesy. I do not want mushy quotes. I do not want lengthy words.

But I want them read formal, elegant and classy to offset my wacky design.

One more thing, I still haven't chose a font.

Deal with it later...

The Ballroom

Of all the visits to the hotel, yesterday was the only time I saw the ballroom empty.

We didn't get the 3 parts, but at least we got 2 out of the 3. It was kind of overwhelming, to see it bare and then the hope of seeing it filled.

It was big, as big as the event, as big as the meaning of what it brings.

I am so excited, and hopefully we can think of so many ways to bring all the people we want to see in there and give them as much fun as we would be having on that super special day.

C has left the bank

It's C's last day today.

I have been "swiping" her lately... grabe, I am sure gonna miss her.

I don't want to be cheesy and all mushy... all I can say is that she is one of the best friends I have in the whole world. Work and play, I enjoy being with her.

A reason for resignation

Is it possible that I quit my job for the reason that the rules are so strict?

• No more than 2 lates in a month.
• Overtime filing, everyday of OT.

I think sometimes employee trust is important. I finish my job and I don't have issues. Would being late for 15 minutes say 6 times a month warrant suspension?

Memo

I got a memo today for my tardiness.

Not that I was always early to start with. I have always been late, and for the past 4 plus years of my working life, I always belonged to a team which is lenient (need I say very) when it comes to time.

So now, I am part of this new team for almost 3 months already, and everyday seems like a struggle. Its so damn hard when rules are so strictly places.

I so want to bend it a bit, but couldn't

Why I do not wear pants

I have worn pants maybe about only 10 times this past 2 years.

I feel unfortable wearing them. My staple clothes have become a dresses, skirts and shorts. The closest thing to pants would be tights that has been in the picture just in time when I got really really heavy.

I own 2 pairs of jeans which I seldom ever wear. As much as I want to wear them skinny, nothing would fit my abnormal hipsize and my short legs. The office pants I wore were all tailor-made, well, 3 years ago when I still work in the audit firm.

Just this afternoon, I realized why I really won't and cannot wear pants to work. The girl in front of me in the elevator was not fat but she looks like she has a wedgie. VPL's are another, just much harder to conceal them in pants.

I want to wear pants with my high heels, but at my rate, I guess I need more time to lose my fats and start wearing them kick-ass.
